About Proof of Concept (POC)

Accelerating Innovation with Real World Rail Testing Environment

At the Singapore Rail Test Centre (SRTC), MSI offers Proof of Concept (POC) services to help innovators, technology providers and system integrators trial and validate new ideas similar in a live rail environment — without impacting operational lines.

Our POC framework allows you to test the technical feasibility early, evaluate performance requirements under realistic conditions and gain the insights you need to decide whether to scale, refine or re-work your solution.

A Low-Risk Pathway from Concept to Implementation

Proof of Concept testing is ideal for exploring novel approaches before committing to full deployment. Whether you're trialling a new system, subsystem, interface component or operational concept, POC provides a safe and controlled environment to assess technical viability and integration/interfacing readiness.

  • Testing new technologies for signalling or control systems
  • Trialling AI based detection or surveillance tools, including condition monitoring
  • Assessing predictive maintenance or energy optimisation solutions
  • Validating hardware performance in a rail environment

Realistic Test Conditions Without Service Disruption

All POC activities are conducted at the dedicated SRTC facility, which can include a test track, physical and virtual stations and a functional operations control centre. This setup enables accurate simulation of train movements, station conditions and system interactions — without the constraints of a live network.

Supporting Your Innovation Journey

MSI will work closely with each client to scope, configure and support their POC testing. Our team provides technical guidance, testbed access and site coordination to ensure each concept is tested in the correct environment.

Whether you are a startup, research institute, OEM or government agency, we provide a comprehensive facility to trial your product, solution, to demonstrate its full potential for you to move forward with confidence.
